Towards West ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ 2050 is a study to help inform future policy and delivery plans for the development of West ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½.

The study has been commissioned by us in partnership with the , , and the . It was produced by , , and .

Towards West ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ 2050 sets out information, ambitions, opportunities, and principles that can support the preparation of policy documents and spatial strategies for West ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½, including the successor to City Plan 2030 and future iterations of the .

Towards West ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ 2050 was .

Screening Determination 01939 – West ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ Transport Improvement Progamme (WETIP) 

This statement sets out the Council’s determination under Section 8(1) of the on whether or not a is required for the West ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ Transport Improvement Progamme (WETIP).

The SEA screening process involved consulting the Consultation Authorities on whether the WETIP is likely to have significant environmental effects. The responses from the three Consultation Authorities are summarised as follows: 

  • : Likelihood of signficiant environmental effects? No.
  • : Likelihood of signficiant environmental effects? No.
  • : Likelihood of signficiant environmental effects? No.

In addition to consulting the above bodies, the Council has also taken into account the criteria set out in Schedule 2 of the Environmental Assessment (Scotland) Act 2005 in determining whether or not the WETIP is likely to have significant environmental effects. The Council has determined that an SEA is not required and has notified the Consultation Authorities of this determination. Copies of the screening form, consultation authority responses, and the determination letter are available for 14 days at City Chambers reception until 18 July 2025.
